Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 August 2026

1. Introduction

TurboCut ("TurboCut", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how your videos and other content are processed, and the choices you have when using the TurboCut website and video editing services.

By using TurboCut, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

When you use TurboCut, we may collect information including:

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect information such as your name, email address and account details.

Subscription and Payment Information

If you purchase a TurboCut subscription, payment information is processed by our third-party payment provider. TurboCut does not directly store your complete payment card details.

Usage Information

We may collect information about how you interact with TurboCut, such as features used, processing activity, subscription usage, browser type, device information and technical logs.

Communications

If you contact us for support or provide feedback, we may retain your message, email address and other information you choose to provide.

3. Video and Media Processing

TurboCut provides different video processing workflows.

Fast Mode

TurboCut Fast Mode is designed to process your video locally within your browser.

When using Fast Mode, supported video editing and processing operations take place on your device rather than requiring your original video to be uploaded to TurboCut's servers.

This provides a faster and more privacy-focused editing workflow.

Certain online functionality associated with your account or the TurboCut service may still communicate with our servers, but your original video content used for local Fast Mode processing is not uploaded to our servers unless a particular feature clearly requires an upload and you choose to use that feature.

Pro Mode

When using TurboCut Pro Mode, your video or media files may be uploaded to and processed on TurboCut's servers or infrastructure used by TurboCut.

This is necessary to provide cloud-based features such as video processing, AI-generated captions and other Pro Mode editing functionality.

Uploaded media may be temporarily stored for the purpose of processing your project and providing the requested service.

We do not sell your uploaded videos or use your private video content for advertising.

4. AI and Third-Party Processing

Some TurboCut features may use third-party service providers or AI services to perform specific functions, such as speech transcription, caption generation, payment processing, hosting or infrastructure.

Where necessary to provide a feature, relevant data may be transmitted to these providers for processing.

We aim to share only the information reasonably necessary to provide the requested functionality.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

TurboCut may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, maintain security, understand how the service is used and improve the user experience.

Some cookies may be essential for TurboCut to function correctly.

Where required by applicable law, we will request consent before using non-essential cookies.

6. How We Use Your Information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your TurboCut account.
  • Provide video editing and processing services.
  • Manage subscriptions and usage limits.
  • Process payments and maintain billing records.
  • Provide customer support.
  • Improve TurboCut's features, reliability and performance.
  • Detect fraud, abuse and security issues.
  • Communicate important service or account information.
  • Send product updates or marketing communications where permitted.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

7. Payments

TurboCut uses third-party payment providers to process subscription payments.

Payment providers may collect information such as your payment card details, billing information and transaction information according to their own privacy policies.

TurboCut generally receives information about the transaction, such as payment status, subscription plan and relevant customer or transaction identifiers, rather than your complete payment card details.

8. How We Share Information

We may share limited information with trusted third-party service providers where necessary to operate TurboCut, including providers supporting cloud hosting and infrastructure, payment processing, AI and transcription services, email and customer communications, analytics and service monitoring, and security and fraud prevention.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our legal rights, investigate fraud or misuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of the business.

We do not sell your personal information or video content to advertisers.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide TurboCut, maintain business and financial records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Cloud-uploaded videos and project files may be retained temporarily to provide processing and project functionality.

Where TurboCut provides controls for deleting projects or uploaded content, users can use those controls to remove their content.

Some limited information may remain in backups, security logs or records where retention is required for legitimate operational or legal purposes.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

However, no internet-based service or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should contact us if they believe their TurboCut account has been accessed without authorisation.

11. International Data Processing

TurboCut and the service providers we use may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

Where required, we take appropriate measures to ensure that personal information receives suitable protection when transferred internationally.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including requesting access, correction or deletion of personal information, restricting or objecting to certain processing, withdrawing consent where applicable, requesting data portability and opting out of marketing communications.

To make a privacy-related request, contact us at support@turbocut.ai.

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

13. Marketing Communications

We may occasionally send information about TurboCut, including product updates, new features or relevant offers.

Users can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe option included in the email or by contacting support@turbocut.ai.

Important transactional or service-related emails, such as account, security, billing or subscription notifications, may still be sent when necessary.

14. Children's Privacy

TurboCut is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to TurboCut without appropriate authorisation, please contact us.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as TurboCut develops, our services change or legal requirements change.

When changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
